Who is Mr. Puppet? My real name is Bob Abdou. I was called "Mr. Puppet" by a young boy from Atlanta and the name stuck. In fact if you watch the video of "The Keenan
Ivory Wayans Show" on my video link, you will see Keenan calling me "Mr. Puppet" and I never even met the man. I prefer my young audiences to call me "Mr. Puppet" but if adults
want to call me "Mr. Puppet" that is A-OK. I have been a professional ventriloquist/puppeteer since 1997. I got my start in Atlanta, Georgia. I
married June Wilkins in 2002 and moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where June was still in seminary. You can see how I proposed to June on national TV on my video link. After
June graduated, she got a calling from St. Martin's Lutheran Church in Austin, Texas. So from the chilly winters of the north to the Texas heat we go. Since moving to Texas I have met some wonderful families and new
friends. In September of 2006 I got to perform in Tokyo Japan at the Japanese Ventriloquist Convention. So now I can say I am an International Star. Yee-haw!
My goal as an entertainer is to create lasting positive memories with comedy (besides making you laugh soooo much that you fall out of your chair!). My puppets have
great character, funny lines and are age appropriate for the audience we perform for. The majority of my show is made up of storytelling, silly magic and sing-a-longs, and they
are all done with puppets. I take my job very seriously, you are guaranteed a clean, wholesome show. I am very respectful to everyone I meet and wish that back on
me. If you have any questions about my show, please email me, mr.puppet@mindspring.com , or call me 512-415-8178. Peace, Bob Abdou/Mr. Puppet |
